With each day that passes we get closer and closer to meeting our 3 little guys. The boys are getting more and more active with each passing day. They kick and squirm around after every meal. We feel so blessed to have made it this far!
We have received so many gifts from friends, family and co-workers. We are surrounded by some truly amazing people. We had 4 baby showers in the last month and we have pretty much everything that we need. Knitted baby blankets, Rock n Play’s, Infant car seats, tons & tons of outfits and books. The sheer volume of things is a little overwhelming but we are so grateful!!! As you can see in the title picture above – the nursery is coming together quite nicely. I still have a hard time believing that our 3 little boys will be sharing this room together!!! Wow! Life is so amazing!
Last Thursday we met with the dietitian at Kaiser. He was a nice guy, very informative. We were pretty close to the suggested diet plan, the only major difference was that Rachel needed to cut fruit out at breakfast time and incorporate more leafy green vegetables. Besides the glucose intolerance everything has been going really well!
Friday was Rachel’s last day of work. She had been working from home for the past 1 1/2 months. I think it is a bittersweet time for her. I know that she enjoyed the friendship and interaction with her co-workers, plus it was nice to have something for her to focus on during the day other than being pregnant with multiples 🙂 . I have seen the change that she has gone through over the past couple of weeks. The time was right and she needs all of the rest and relaxation that she can get right now. She has joined a couple of Facebook groups and online forums that will help her to pass the time. Plus we have a very supportive local Mothers of Multiples group SCMOMs that have been so amazing, supportive and encouraging throughout this journey. The only bad part of going on disability is the piles and piles of paperwork that must be submitted to the various agencies!!! 😦
We have selected the babies names!!!
Baby A – Kaleo Samuel
Baby B – Makani James
Baby C – Keoni Schooler
Rachel and I decided that we would like to try cloth diapers. We have read good things about Tidee Didee Diaper Service . Not only are they environmentally friendly, the cost is substantially less than using disposable diapers. We welcome any and all thoughts on this???? We figure that it will cost around $35 dollars per week to supply us with what we need for triplets. Our sister-in-law Kari setup a Go Fund Me site for friends and family to donate to help the cause: GoFundMe (Thanks Kari!) Tidee Didee also has a gift registry
Next up we have an OB appointment at Kaiser on Friday afternoon.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!!! Every little bit helps…
I hope you all have an amazing week!
