Hot August nights (& days!) We have been experiencing a mini heat wave the past week. Temperatures have been in the upper 90’s/100’s. This is unusually hot for this part of the country. Rachel feels most comfortable floating in the pool, so that is where we spent the majority of the day yesterday.
Rachel is still really uncomfortable and getting any meaningful sleep is difficult! Rachel has not experienced any signs of pre-term labor and is having minimal (if any) contractions. This is a great sign!!!
On Tuesday we meet with the Kaiser Perinatologist – Dr. Wu in San Francisco. This will be our 30 week consultation and hopefully he will set a date for the upcoming C-Section. (Originally he stated that he would like to see Rachel make it to 36 weeks.)
On Thursday we go in to Kaiser for the 30 week growth scan. Looking at Rachel from the outside, it appears that the babies are growing at a good rate. Whenever we go in for a scheduled sonogram or checkup I get a little anxious and worry that they will find something wrong that would put the babies at risk or in danger. So far, we have been extremely blessed! I know that I need to trust in the process and God! I can only take care of the little things like making sure she gets enough rest, takes her vitamins and try to provide healthy nutritional meals for her to eat. Ultimately it is up to the one who has all power to determine the course that he has planned for us! I am getting better at it, but it’s not quite second nature… 😀
Have a wonderful week…
God Bless/Mahalo Ke Akua!
